How Strong is your Foundation?

Imagine your dream home being built on the side of a hills. You know that for your house is to be stable you have to build a strong foundation. Then the rest of the home will be easier to finish and remain strong for years to come. You will have created the best home for yourself and your family.

Now consider the spine is the foundation of your home. How well built is your foundation? How often do you take the time and to care for it and ensure that it is kept strong?

Our modern, busy world can sometimes make it difficult to keep focus on our health. It becomes so easy to be engrossed in our lives that we often forget about the needs of the most important parts of our lives, our body. Health then becomes less of a priority and we end up suffering from it.

Maintaining a proper connection between the brain and body is essential for a good foundation. Did you know we laugh on average 15 times daily but touch our phones 2,600 times daily? While using your phone it is a common habit to bend the neck forward. Such an unnatural position for prolonged periods of time can cause undue stress on the spine. Over time this can then lead to pain and even headaches.

Headaches are a common problem mentioned within the walls of our chiropractic clinic. Headaches are not normal. Headaches could be a sign that your foundation has been through stressors that it cannot keep doing.

Your spine holds the key to nerve communication between your body and your mind. Your body has a naturally healing ability called the innate immue system. This is your body’s own way of continually assessing all systems to make sure everything is interacting and functioning properly. Your innate system could be fighting off a pathogen right now without you knowing about it. By looking after your communication pathways you can ensure your foundation remains strong against the outside world.

Chiropractic care could be the missing piece of the puzzle to help you build a better relationship with your body.
